The Lounge

Hidden in the heart of the Broadway theater district in New York is a secret library with over 9,000 books.

Stepping into The Lounge, you will go to a different time, with damask burgundy wallpaper, mahogany floors and crimson carpets. At the far end of the room, a 10-foot tall wall-to-wall bookcase touches the ceiling, filled only with black books. A mysterious bartender serves cocktails through the shelves.

In the centre of the room, there is a platform made of red books, encased in an amber fluid for the rest of time. A royal throne is reserved for special guests.

Other treats are hidden in the books and shelves about the room.

The Lounge seats 120 people and is available for bookings. Contact will@drunkshakespeare.com for details.
